Our Story
Upcycle Sand Co. is a family-run business that was founded in 2016 to address the overwhelming cost of bunker sand replacement. Our parent company, with over 30 years’ experience in niche recycling-equipment manufacturing and design created the first prototype of our Sand Saver in 2017. The first design was effective but did not result in an efficient production rate. Our second prototype (patent-pending) was completed in the summer of 2019 and delivers 7-10 yards per hour, 350-500 yards per week.
Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver back to you an asset you have already paid for, on-site and for a fraction of the cost of new sand. Being avid golfers, we are dedicated to reducing the cost of ownership for golf courses to help this industry thrive. We have worked in unison with golf course superintendents, responding to their feedback and suggestions, to bring a service that we are proud to deliver to our customers.
Service Areas
Currently we operate in Western Canada and have begun the manufacturing process for a new machine that is slated to begin work in the Spring of 2021 in the United States. Details coming soon!
